Grammar Zone
Ivor Williams
High-Beginning to High-Advanced
Grammar Zone is a six-level grammar practice series designed to help young learners of English understand the key grammatical structures of English and how they are used. The series presents and practices grammar in a manageable and motivating way.
Grammar Zone presents language structures in small chunks that closely follow the syllabuses that are used in many established series for primary-age children. By manageable increments, students acquire understanding and confidence. The presentation of grammar rules is kept as simple as possible and takes into account children's development at each level of the series.
Certain features of English grammar -- tenses, auxilliary verbs, modal verbs, idiomatic usage, prepositions -- that can cause difficulties are introduced and then revisited in later levels to consolidate students' knowledge and understanding.
