A strong vocabulary is not acquired by memorizing definitions of words, but by learning the meaning in context and immediately using the word in a writing or reading activity.

Each worktext contains 36 lessons with ten vocabulary words. Lessons are organized in clusters of three: context, theme, and root.

Flash cards with definitions and pronunciation of words from the worktext are included for self-study. The Annotated Teacher’s Edition contains comprehensive quarterly tests.
